We will meet your flight from Newark to Bristol on 13 June 2009. All travel on the tour will be by comfortable coach, and you will be looked after by your hosts Sig and Karin Lonegren and Patrick MacManaway.

Itinerary

The itinerary for this tour is listed on our schedule of events page. We might need to vary the itinerary as necessary, to provide the best possible experience under the circumstances prevailing at the time. On most days, we will endeavour to have lunch around 1:00pm and dinner around 7pm each day. With the busy itinerary we have, the distances we cover and the magic of the places we visit, we might even find that we step out of time, so it is impossible to be precise here. We want to spend enough time at each of the sites we visit to let you really get a feel for it.

We certainly do not want to rush you, and we will do our best to keep a gentle pace. Our coach will park as near to the sites as possible; however, there will be some walking and hills to climb - especially at Avebury, Glastonbury and Breamore.

Lodging

We will be staying at the Wessex Hotel in Street (the town next to Glastonbury). It is a three star hotel, and all rooms have private facilities. Should you have any queries at the hotel, problems or request, during our stay, they need to be directed to Sig, Patrick, or Karin, or the hotel reception desk. Room service and bar bills are your responsibility.

Food

There will be a good choice of excellent cuisine throughout our time in England. Vegetarians are fully catered for, and should you have a particular special diet that you require we shall do our best to fulfil your needs. Please advise us of this on your reservation form.

Clothing and other Gear

Dress casually and in layers. While you can expect some fine early summer weather, bring good rain gear, a hat, and waterproof walking shoes, and you will never be disappointed! In general temperatures are 15-20°C (60-70°F). We will be sending you a recommended packing list upon registration.

Reading and Tools

Learning to be a geomancer is serious business. There will be a carefully selected list of books, which you will receive when you register, including three books to read before the school begins so we can get going quickly. Also you will need to have some special tools to do this work from dowsing instruments and a pair of compasses to do sacred geometry, as well as tools to do archaeoastronomy. Both the book list and a complete list of tools, and where you can get them, will be sent to you when you register for the school.

Luggage

Plan to travel as light as possible because you will be responsible for moving your own luggage.

Spiritual Aspects

We seek to offer an equal amount of left and right brained (rational and intuitional) food. So not only will you be hearing many fascinating and useful facts about the labyrinths and the other sacred places we will visit, but we trust that you will also be connecting with Spirit as well on numerous occasions during our time together. We will be talking about a number of different spiritual paths, but be assured that we are not proselytising for any one in particular - we honour all paths with heart.

On many occasions, we will be visiting sites where the spirit of place (genius loci) still resides. We seek to build a supportive atmosphere, and we trust that your fellow students will tend to be of a sympathetic and understanding nature. At different sites that we visit, you will be given opportunity for reflection and meditation. This inner dimension is what makes our school especially memorable - a pilgrimage back through the mists of time - and into your future.

Shopping and Currency

There will be time for retail therapy on the tour. The unit of currency in Britain is the Pound Sterling (£). Most retailers accept VISA & Master card but American Express is not widely accepted. The most favourable rate of exchange is to be obtained through the ATMs (Automatic Teller Machines) at banks. Bank opening times are usually between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday. Store opening times are from 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday. Some (but not all) stores are open on a Sunday in rural districts.

Tipping

In general, the cost of the tour includes gratuities to hotel staff. In UK, tipping is voluntary. If you feel you have received special service which should be acknowledged, then this is of course left to you. This also applies to lunch staff and, if you wish to leave a tip, then 10% of the lunch bill is normal. It is customary in our country that appreciation (read: a tip) is given to the driver at the end of the tour.

Some Final Thoughts

We see the England segment of our school as much more than a typical tour. While visiting sacred sites will be an important part of our jounrey, we will also be continuing with the indepth studies which began back in the United States.

Your tuition includes round trip airfare from Newark to Bristol, England, six days and six nights, all breakfasts and dinners (accept for one when we eat in Glastonbury), all entry fees, lectures and workshops on many evenings with our teachers, and visits to some of the most beautiful sacred sites in England in a comfortable fully-equipped coach. You will be responsible to pay for your lunches.

This is a chance for you to step back in time to learn new skills for the future. You will learn how to create spaces that will powerfully enhance any spiritual work you might want to engage in from healing to contacting your Maker; you will be able to psychically cleanse homes to make them better more healthy places to live and work in; and you will visit and experience some of the most magical places on our planet.

If you need any more information please do not hesitate to contact us. There are a limited number of spaces, so if this is of interest, you need to sign up now. We look forward to meeting you. We look forward to having a wonderful journey together!
